There is always something special in the air the week of Penn Relays. No matter the weather, it seems even rain cannot bring a damper on the electricity and fun this week has to bring. For during Penn Relay week, it is truly always sunny in Philadelphia.
This week brings out motivation in all athletes, especially those at Bonner & Prendie. Penn Relays signifies the start of something new, the start of championship season on the horizon and the feeling that it brings.
Believe: It’s a feeling brought to the team ever since the cross country season. Last year at Penn Relays, the believing truly began, when the girls PCL 4X400 finished 3rd and came home with Penn Relay medals. This year the track team is ready for more.
Can the boys and girls defy the odds? Could Championship of America races be on tap? Could the team walk home with more medals and pride?
It all begins on Thursday.
